What is Jio GigaFiber?

It is the FTTH fibre-to-the-home broadband service by Reliance Jio. The Jio GigaFiber service will give its connectivity to the shops, homes, and offices with the best broadband service with the speed up to 1Gbps. In India, there are FTTH broadband services available from the operators like Airtel, BSNL, etc.

Availability of Jio GigaFiber Services

The broadband services of Jio GigaFiber registrations will be available from 15th August. Directly, you can apply for the Jio GigaFiber service, and the company will give you the broadband service to your place. It depends on where it is available. Reliance Jio wants to bring the Digital Freedom in with a great connectivity platform.

If you want to register for Jio GigaFiber then it will start from 15th August. You can register it on Jio.com or MyJio app for your location. Reliance Jio will get in Jio GigaFiber to all the locations which are based on the demand and number of registration. The number of registrations the more chances of getting the service in their location. Jio GigaFiber will give ultra high-speed internet with 1Gbps.

Where The Service Will Be Available?

At one time the Reliance Jio will bring out the Jio GigaFiber in total 1,100 cities in India. However, the first roll-out of Jio GigaFiber will happen in stages. Reliance will give the service first to those locations from where they will get more number of registrations. So, make sure your area starts registering from 15th August.

What Will You Get With Jio GigaFiber?

After registering Jio GigaFiber service it will also allow you for an exclusive Jio GigaTV. Reliance Jio has also announced its Jio GigaTV service with the broadband service at the RIL AGM. And the Set Top Box will come with jio broadband service. This Jio GigaTV can be connected to the TV for 4K media streaming and connectivity.

Expected Plans Jio GigaFiber

It is expected to run the Jio GigaFiber services for free for a trial. However, there is nothing official but most probably they will have plans starting from Rs. 500 or less and highest is Rs. 5000. Around the country, Jio has already laid out more than 3 lakh kilometers of an optic fiber network.

Most probably there will be a refundable security deposit of  Rs 4,500 for the ONT device. 

All the other operators have started changing their plans to continue their plans. They are doing this against Jio’s upcoming plans.
