Reliance Jio announced the launch of its much rumoured 4G feature phone, which
is named as JioPhone. Along with that the telco has announced its cable
TV device.
The JioPhone will be available for free but buyers will have to deposit a fee of Rs 1500 which will be refundable after three years on returning the phone. This means the phone will be available at an effective price of zero.
Apart from these Jio phone will be packed with all Jio premium apps and benefits of Jio mobile network like free data and calling.
New Reliance Jio phone will be available from 15th August for beta testing purpose, and later will be available for pre-booking from 24th August. You can book either from the MyJio app or Jio digital stores. In meeting, Mukesh Ambani confirmed that there will be 5 million JioPhone units that will be available every week and delivery will start in September.
