mAadhaar App : Available to Download for Android Users + Features

Unique Identification Authority of India knows as UIDAI has launched their mAadhaar app to help the public to carry their Aadhaar information in Android smartphones. Now it is available to download on Google Play Store but only for Android users.

It will help to keep their minor information such as Name, Date of Birth, Address, Gender and more Aadhaar related info in smartphone digitally.

However, this app is available only for  Android users yet. Window and iOS users would have to wait more. App is still in beta testing mode and might be received an update officially in Google Play Store.

As you know nowadays Aadhaar is compulsory in several even after GST it is mandatory in all fields and we have to carry a paper based card with us. Now, this app will help to keep information digitally on our smartphone.

How to Use/Download mAadhaar App :

Before using this app you would have to need your mobile number registered with Aadhaar. If not registered, then first link it with your Aadhaar number and then proceed further. Visit Enrolment Centre/Mobile Update and link mobile number.

1. Firstly, download the mAadhaar from Google Play Store.
2. Install this app and open it as usually as you open other apps.
3. For security reason make any desired strong password to proceed next.
4. Next, you have to put your 12 digits Aadhaar number and click on next option.

 

5.Now a (TOTP) time-based one-time-password will be sent to your Aadhaar registered mobile number.

 

 

6. Enter this code and your details will be visible in the mAadhaar app.

What are the Features/Uses of mAadhaar App :

1] Aadhaar Number Holder Profile Download :

This app will help you to keep secure Aadhaar information digitally in Android device such as date of birth, name and address. If you have the device in your hand then you can access this information anywhere and anytime. In a way it is a briefcase to carry information.

2] Biometric Locking & Unlocking:

This is the good feature of this app which helps to keep biometric data locked until the Aadhaar user does not allow or unlock/disable this feature.

3] TOTP Feature :

The app has time-based one-time-password verification which is usable while checking information and for security purposes. After entering this TOTP based code you can check information related to Aadhaar Holder.

4] Update of Profile :

App user can see an updated view of Aadhaar profile after successful completion of update request. This is good feature.

5] QR Code & eKYC data Sharing :

This app allows to share QR Code & eKYC related information and data within app instead of manual system. It will help a lot to save time while using information for any Aadhaar related work/purpose.
